The Garden Café
Enveloped by the gardens, guests can enjoy views out over the kitchen garden and orchards, which inspires the seasonal, vegetable-led menus at the Garden Café. Serving breakfast and lunch, seven days a week.
Please note, Newt Membership is required to visit the Garden Café. Members can invite non-members, however a Day Guest Pass is required.
The Botanical Rooms
Savour elegant, modern British dishes in the luxurious surroundings of the house. Evolving seasonal menus showcase estate reared and grown spoils, day boat fish and fleeting ingredients foraged from the hedgerows and woodland.
Non-members and non-hotel residents are welcome for lunch and dinner with an advance booking.
Farmyard Kitchen
Experience creative, seasonal plates made for sharing at the heart of our former dairy at the Farmyard. Alive with wood-fired cooking from the open kitchen, tuck into hearty fare prepared with the finest estate ingredients.
Lunch & Dinner are available to non-members when booked in advance.
The Station Café at The Creamery
Beyond the estate parameters, The Creamery at Castle Cary station offers up hearty British classics using food from the farm, served simply and generously. Drop in for a quick bite before your train journey, or enjoy a leisurely brunch, all-day Sunday lunch, set supper or quintessential afternoon tea aboard a Pullman carriage.
Light Bites In The Garden
Find fresh, seasonal fare to fuel any visit to our gardens and exhibits. Make a beeline to the Cyder Bar for coffee, pastries, light lunches and (of course) homemade cyder. Stop in at the Gelateria for seasonal scoops, and stock up with produce and delicious wares at our Farm Shop. Enjoy light lunches and sweet treats at The Story of Gardening to spur strolls through the Deer Park or head up to the Roman Villa to try the delicacies of the day.
